The McGrath Foundation
Situation
The McGrath foundation wanted to redevelop their website to highlight the positive relationships between McGrath breast care nurses and their patients.
Task
A large amount of user research had been conducted before I became involved with the project. So it was my job to help translate that research into wireframes and designs.

Also, as a company we were transitioning to an agile environment. This meant the McGrath foundation project was an experiment for agile methodologies.
Action
During the research phase we discovered that users were looking for an emotional connection and wanted to see more stories on how the McGrath Foundation helps patients. To illustrate that I designed the website to focus on those stories. I used a large images and videos to bring the stories to life and build that emotional connection.
We wanted this to be a fairly modular website. So I designed the UI using Sketch and a system of symbols and created a pattern library.
Results
At the end of the project we had updated their UI, added some micro interactions and improved the user flow. There were a few technical issues, however as a team we worked with the client to overcome and solve them.
